Have you installed any new software or hardware drivers since you started experience this problem? If so, what are they and are they designed for Windows 10?

Do you have a system restore point created you could go back to? Does the problem occur in other user accounts on the computer? Which version of Windows 10 is currently installed: , , , , ? Which version of Windows did you upgrade from? You can try uninstall then reinstall your display driver. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? Hello, Try this: 1. Click Personalization and then click Display Settings. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.

Hi Judith, I’m Graeme, an independent adviser here to help. There’s three possible reasons why your display is smaller than your screen size: – Incorrect monitor settings – Wrong refresh rate – Screen resizing settings are off in graphics software If it’s the first reason, you’ll need to access your monitor’s settings using the buttons on the screen to adjust the screen size.

Most modern monitors have an auto-adjust feature that you could use. If your PC is a laptop, the above won’t apply, so see if you can change your refresh rate. Otherwise, you’ll need to adjust your Nvidia or Radeon or Intel graphics settings to the right screen size.

Let me know what brand your graphics is and I’ll give you the next steps. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help.

OK everyone, I believe I’ve solved this now purely by accident, I was trying to do something else. Right click the desktop and select ‘Personalize’. This should take you to background settings pic below. Where it says ‘Choose a fit’ click on the down arrow and select ‘Stretch’.

That should then have sorted it for you. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
